FOOT CHASE LEADS TO ARREST OF BRENHAM MAN

Brenham Police have arrested a local man on numerous charges.
Police say they observed 42-year old Lanny Carpenter of Brenham walking on the wrong side of the street in the 1100 block of LJ Street.
Carpenter tried to flee from officers on foot and was quickly captured.
Carpenter reportedly lied to police about his true identity and was also in possession of methamphetamine.
Carpenter was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance, Failure to Identify-Giving False/Fictitious Information and Evading Arrest/Detention with a Previous Conviction.
