WASHINGTON CO. FAIR CHUCK WAGON COOK-OFF BEGINS FRIDAY

Fair season has arrived in Washington County, and activities kick off tomorrow (Friday) with the Chuck Wagon Cook-off at the Fairgrounds.

This is the fifth year the fair will have a Chuck Wagon Cook-off, which runs through Saturday.

Fair committee member Lonnie Tegeler says there should be some fierce competition between the contestants signed up for Friday’s wagon judging.

Tegeler says Saturday’s cook-off, as always, should yield some great food.

Food will be served to the public around noon on Saturday, and will be judged shortly afterwards. The awards presentation will begin at 4 p.m., giving away cash prizes in each of the food and wagon categories.

KWHI will have a live broadcast of Saturday morning’s fair parade through downtown Brenham, starting at 10:30 a.m. KTEX-106 will also be on hand for the parade, and will be broadcasting live Saturday afternoon from the Washington County Fairgrounds.
