151ST WASHINGTON CO. FAIR GETS UNDERWAY THIS WEEKEND
The 151st Washington County Fair officially kicks off this weekend.
Activities begin today (Friday) at the Washington County Fairgrounds with the King of Coals Barbecue Contest, Chuck Wagon judging, and pitch tournament.
There are plenty of things going on tomorrow (Saturday), as well, such as the trail ride, ranch rodeo, and washer and bean bag tournaments.
The annual fair parade through downtown Brenham starts tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m., and can be heard live on KWHI AM 1280, FM 101.7, and kwhi.com.
Tomorrow’s schedule will also include the Chuck Wagon and barbecue award presentations, and entertainment from Steven Marshall at 7 p.m. Sunday morning, there will be a Cowboy Church gathering and service, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Fair President Dean Luetge says this fair is, has been, and always will be about the youth of Washington County.
Opening ceremonies for the fair, including the crowning of the 2019 Fair Queen, will be held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. with live coverage on KWHI. Wednesday night’s entertainment will feature Jake Hooker and the Outsiders.
