BLINN CROWNS 2019 HOMECOMING KING AND QUEEN

  

A new Homecoming King and Queen were crowned Saturday at Blinn College’s football game versus Trinity Valley College.

Blinn’s 2019 Homecoming Queen is Maddie Eddings of Liberty Hill, nominated by the Blinn College dance team.  Eddings, a Liberal Arts major, plans to attend Texas State University following Blinn College.

Blinn’s Homecoming King this year is Keegan Jones of Bruthen, Victoria, Australia, nominated by the Blinn College cheerleading team.  Majoring in theatre, Jones plans to eventually teach English in China and volunteer around the world.

Eddings and Jones were chosen by a selection committee using a point system, where nominees were scored based on an essay, their performance in the Homecoming talent show, and letters of recommendation from Blinn faculty.

Blinn’s game versus Trinity Valley was a nail biter to the end, but the Buccaneers prevailed 10-6.
