FIRST WEEK OF EARLY VOTING CONCLUDES FOR STATE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

  

One week of early voting has wrapped up for the State Constitutional Amendment Election.

The office of Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel says 557 ballots were cast through Friday.  The Monday through Friday early voter totals were 80, 84, 124, 122, and 147.

Voting will continue at the Washington County Courthouse Annex with extended hours of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.  Wednesday through Friday will have regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There are ten Constitutional Amendments on the ballot, including Proposition Eight, which would create a flood infrastructure fund.  Proposition Seven would allow increased distributions to the Permanent School Fund, while Proposition Four would prohibit a state individual income tax.
