PLEA HEARING FOR SUSPECT IN DEATH OF HAZANA ANDERSON RESCHEDULED TO FRIDAY
A suspect in the death of one-year-old Hazana Anderson of Bryan is still awaiting his plea hearing in Galveston County.
Kenny D’Shawn Hewett was indicted in January for Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair a Human Corpse.
Hewett’s hearing was initially scheduled for last week, but according to the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, the hearing is still on the trial docket.

Investigators believe Hewett, along with Hazana’s mother, TiAundra Christon, fatally injured the child at a Houston-area motel last year and then disposed of her body in a Texas City lake.
The new hearing for Hewett is scheduled for Friday at 9 a.m.
