HUNTER’S WIFE WEEKEND BEGINNING FRIDAY IN BURLESON CO.

  

Burleson County invites anyone not looking to head to the deer lease this weekend, for their annual Hunter’s Wife Weekend.

The two-day event has become an annual tradition for the women of Burleson County to enjoy some “girl time” with shopping and wine that commemorates the start of hunting season.

This year’s festivities, kicking off Friday, center around the Derby Doe WineFest.  Derby Does can purchase $40 event tickets that include an official Hunter’s Wife Doe WineFest wine glass, t-shirt, and a race card for all stops.  After guests have made their way to all the stops, they are eligible for a grand prize basket to be given away at the end of the event.

The two-day event begins Friday at 4:30 p.m. in downtown Caldwell and Chriesman, and continues Saturday at 11 a.m. in those two locations and in Somerville.  Rides will be provided between Somerville and Caldwell, with shuttles around the Caldwell area as well.

This year’s event is sponsored by King’s Liquor of Caldwell.
