FAYETTE CO. STUDENTS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR 2020 YOUTH TOUR TO WASHINGTON, D.C.
Applications are now open for Fayette County students to apply for the 2020 Government-in-Action Youth Tour.
High school sophomores, juniors and seniors, whose residences are served by Fayette Electric Cooperative, are encouraged to apply for an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. June 17-26, 2020.
The trip will offer the chance to tour national historic sites, meet U.S. congressional representatives, and learn about electric cooperatives and the utility industry.
The tour is organized by Texas Electric Cooperatives and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
To apply for the tour, visit https://fecnextgen.com. The deadline for entries is December 17th. Applicants who qualify as a finalist will need to be available for an in-person interview on February 7, 2020.
