2ND ANNUAL BLACKWOOD HARVEST HOEDOWN SATURDAY IN HEMPSTEAD
A Texas-sized food and fall celebration is coming this weekend to Waller County.
The 2nd Annual Blackwood Harvest Hoedown will be held tomorrow (Saturday) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Blackwood Educational Land Institute in Hempstead, at 27144 Rock Island Road.
The family-friendly festival will feature live music, a farmers market full of local vendors, demonstrations, guest speakers, and farm tours.
Blackwood Farm Director Amy Milliron says there will also be plenty of opportunities to learn more about good farming practices.
Tickets are available for $15 for adults, and $5 for ages 5-15. Children 5 and under get in free.
