ANDERSON-SHIRO VARSITY BASKETBALL COACH PLACED ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE
The varsity basketball coach for Anderson-Shiro CISD has been placed on administrative leave.

According to a report from the Navasota Examiner, the district has launched an investigation into varsity basketball coach Barry Bennett.
Details about the investigation were not released, but reports suggest the matter does not involve any students.
According to Anderson-Shiro CISD Superintendent Scott Beene, Jeffrey Trant has been named the team’s interim head coach.
Bennett has previously worked in Bryan, Magnolia, Cy-Fair, Riesel, and Mart.

I dont know this coach, but it’s not unusual for coaches to move frequently between school districts as they advance from middle school to asst coach at a high school to high school head coach.
Public schools ard not “pay as you go” only while you have kids in school. We all support the schools via our peoperty taxes
This is sad the coach is getting his reputation ruined already before anyone knows what is the reason is ……
I am really concerned about all the educators at this school. It is just full of nepotism.
The fact that this coach has been at 5 different schools prior to being hired at Anderson Shiro should be a red flag
At age 67, I should no longer have to pay school taxes, especially since I had no children, and I am on Medicare.
