BRENHAM ISD CELEBRATING NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELING WEEK

  

This week, Brenham ISD joins school districts across the nation to celebrate National School Counseling Week.

Sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), this week focuses attention on the contributions of school counselors throughout the nation’s school systems, and how students benefit from their care and dedication.

This week highlights the impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.

Brenham ISD Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson said many of students’ college and career advice and social-emotional needs could not be met without the commitment and dedication of school counselors.  He said they “serve a more critical role than ever before”, and added he cannot think of a better team of professionals than the counselors serving Brenham ISD students.
