WASHINGTON CO. CHAMBER TO HOST REGIONAL AG UPDATE LUNCHEON
Registration is now open for an upcoming Washington County Chamber of Commerce luncheon discussing agriculture.
The Regional Agriculture Update Luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, February 19th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Blinn College Student Center Banquet Room.
Featured speaker will be Dr. Jim Mazurkiewicz, Leadership Program Director for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. A native of the Brazos Valley with family roots in Washington County, Dr. Mazurkiewicz is also a professor in Texas A&M’s Department of Agriculture, Leadership, Education and Communications.
Topics to be discussed include local farming, how much agriculture takes place in the community, economic impact for the region, and the latest agriculture census report.
The luncheon is $25 for Chamber members, and $35 for non-members. Reserved tables for eight guests are available for $250.
