BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS RECOGNIZED THROUGH NEW FACEBOOK GROUP

The COVID-19 crisis has made the last semester for many Brenham High School seniors very difficult, but Washington County residents are taking to social media to show students their appreciation and support.
A new Facebook Group page, titled “Washington County Adopt a Senior 2020”, went live Tuesday afternoon. Parents or guardians can upload a picture and short bio of their senior, including their talents and future aspirations.
Others can then “adopt” that senior, and can even send cards or gifts to seniors. Participants are allowed to “adopt” more than one senior.
Madelyn Villatoro, creator of the group, said she saw other communities doing various things to recognize their seniors, and wanted to make sure Brenham High School seniors and their accomplishments are not forgotten.
The group is open to the public, and now has over 670 members as of this (Thursday) morning.
The link to the group is available here.
