THREE NEW CASES; ONE MORE LOCAL DEATH FROM COVID-19
Three new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Washington County, while another person has died of the virus.
Friday, the Washington County Joint Information Center reported the three new cases are a man and woman in their 60’s and a woman in her 30’s. All three cases were the result of community spread.
Both the man and woman in their 60’s are hospitalized. The woman in her 30’s is quarantined at her home.
That brings the county’s total number of positive cases to 160. The active case count stands at 105, with another recovery reported Friday. A total of 33 patients have recovered from the virus, while nine are hospitalized and 22 have died.
At the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (BNRC), another resident has died of the coronavirus, bringing the number of total fatalities at the facility to 20. The number of active cases at the facility is 79. Three residents have recovered while one remains hospitalized.
