LOCAL BUSINESSMAN JUD ALEXANDER DIES
Longtime Brenham businessman Jud Alexander, founder of Alexander Oil, had died at the age of 89.
Alexander died at his home in Brenham, Thursday.
A native of Pearland, Alexander served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea before moving to Chappell Hill. He was a rancher before becoming the Gulf Oil Distributor in Brenham. He and his sons Jud Jr. and Jay grew the business over the years.
Alexander was a founding member of the Red Brangus Cattle Association; a member of the church council at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, a member of the Rotary Club of Brenham and a Paul Harris Fellow.
He and his wife Bobbie Jo were married for 69 years.
A private family funeral service is set for 2 p.m., Sunday, at Abiding Word Lutheran Church, followed by full military burial at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Jud was all heart !Best boss and made work life pleasant !He is with his heavenly father !May God bless his family !
Jud Alexander will be missed by all who knew him. He contributed so much to our community and his great smile spread joy where ever he went.
