TWO SUSPECTS IN AUSTIN BURGLARY ARRESTED IN FAYETTE CO. AFTER CHASE

  

Two suspects are in custody in Fayette County while three others remain at large, following a report of a pharmacy burglary in Austin.

At approximately 12:20 AM Monday morning, Fayette County Deputy Herman Olvera was relayed dispatch information from the Austin Police Department regarding a vehicle suspected to be traveling east following a pharmacy burglary in Austin.

Olvera located the vehicle on Highway 71 and attempted to stop the vehicle, but it sped up and tried to flee the area. The vehicle stopped in the Ellinger area, where 5 suspects fled the vehicle on foot.

Deputy Olvera was able to apprehend one subject on foot, and later located another suspect. Three other suspects remain at large.

A large amount of prescription medication was located inside of the vehicle.

40-year-old Aaron Miller and 31-year-old Frederick Wills, both of Houston, were arrested for evading arrest, and are awaiting charges from the Austin Police Department in regard to the pharmacy burglary.

Sheriff Keith Korenek stated that patrols have increased in the Ellinger area. Fayette County Dispatch also initiated the emergency notification system in order to alert citizens in the area.

Citizens are asked to report any suspicious activity to the Fayette County Sheriff Office.
