THREE AREA COUNTIES UNDER BURN BANS

Three Brazos Valley counties have enacted burn bans due to the current hot, dry conditions.

Lee, Fayette and Robertson counties have all enacted current restrictions on all outdoor burning in unincorporated areas.

The Lee County ban was enacted Tuesday and will be in effect until next Monday, unless it is extended by the Commissioners’ Court.

The Fayette County ban was enacted last week and will be in effect for the next 90 days, or until the County Commissioners vote to terminate it at an earlier date.

Robertson County Judge Charles Ellison issued a burn ban for the county, citing drought conditions in the area.  The ban will be effective over the 90 days.

Currently 104 or Texas’ 254 counties are under burn bans.
