AUTHORITIES RELEASE NAMES OF THREE KILLED IN GRIMES CO. ACCIDENT

  

DPS officials have identified the three people killed in an accident Friday afternoon on Highway 105 in Grimes County.

The victims of the crash were identified as 50-year-old Kerry Lloyd and 72-year-old Peggy Franklin, both of Tomball, and 54-year-old Angela Dillon of Magnolia.

According to DPS Sergeant Erik Burse, Lloyd was driving eastbound at a high rate of speed on Highway 105 near the intersection with FM 362, when his vehicle hydroplaned and crashed head-on with a westbound car.  That car was then hit by a third vehicle.

Lloyd and Franklin, Lloyd’s passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene.  Dillon, a passenger in the westbound car, died shortly after being transported to CHI St. Joseph in Bryan.

According to Sgt. Burse, two others in the westbound car were transported for their injuries.  63-year-old Craig Dillon was taken to Conroe Regional Hospital, while 21-year-old Grace Dillon was taken to CHI St. Joseph in Bryan.  Both are said to be in stable condition.  The driver of the third vehicle, 49-year-old Lisa Laminack of the Woodlands, was uninjured.

The accident remains under investigation.
