GALVESTON’S ‘DICKENS ON THE SQUARES’ CANCELLED
The 2020 edition of the popular Dickens on the Squares, scheduled for Dec. 4-5 in downtown Galveston, has been canceled.
The event’s official website posted, Thursday, “Citing the increase in local, regional, and state numbers relating to COVID-19, the decision also cancels associated special events.”
The Galveston Historical Foundation’s Board of Directors voted to cancel the Dickens on The Squares.
Ticket holders will be contacted with refund information.
The Galveston Historical Foundation plans to return to its traditional festival layout and schedule December 3-5, 2021.
