Maybrie Laskoskie of Cameron was recently awarded the title of Tiny Miss Milam County United States Agriculture.  She is the daughter of Richard Laskoskie of Chappell Hill and Jessica Laskoskie of Gatesville, and is the granddaughter of Eugene and Diane Laskoskie of Chappell Hill and Nemiah and Vickie Colbert of Temple.

Under the program, queens recognized at the county level advocate for agriculture across the county and state by attending fairs, conferences, meetings and schools.  They also get to compete at the state level in the Miss United States Agriculture Pageant program for an opportunity to advance to the national pageant.

This will be Maybrie’s second year representing Milam County in the state competition.  Last year, she won state fun fashion, formal wear and introduction, and was first runner-up.

State Director Holly Hatfield says the idea behind the program is to “celebrate the agriculture industry and our local farmers all while promoting self-esteem, building strong leaders and awarding scholarships to encourage a continuous pursuit of education.”
