WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER PERMITS FOR BLUEBONNET FESTIVAL
Washington County Commissioners will take up a pair of items related to the Bluebonnet Festival in Chappell Hill at their meeting Tuesday.
Commissioners will consider applications for a mass gathering permit and a right of way permit for the festival, which is scheduled for April 10th and 11th in downtown Chappell Hill.
Also on Tuesday, commissioners will discuss approving a youth history camp at the Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site. The camp, if approved, would be held August 3-6 from 9 a.m. to noon, bringing 30 fourth to seventh grade students to take part in hands-on activities at the site. Cost for the camp would be free for attendees, covered entirely by partners of the Washington County Historical Commission.
Commissioners will also consider:
- On call pay for the Washington County E-911 department.
- Authorizing the county engineer to advertise for sealed bids for seal coating and asphalt services for the contract time period of May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2022.
- Approval of homeland security advisory council appointments.
- Granting conditional approval or disapproval of a final plat of Chappell Hill West, lots 1-6 in block one, a subdivision fronting FM 2447 in Chappell Hill.
- Approving the county to issue requests for proposals for administrative services and requests for qualifications for professional services for the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
- A proclamation declaring April 2021 as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
- The Washington County Expo monthly report.
- Approval of a two-year extension on years five and six of the bank contract between the county and Bank of Brenham.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.
