MAJOR DELAYS CAUSED BY WEEKEND CRASH ON HIGHWAY 290 IN WALLER
Traffic was stalled for many holiday travelers Sunday afternoon on Highway 290 in Waller after a crash involving an 18-wheeler.
The accident occurred in the westbound lanes of Highway 290 at FM 362, near the Buc-ee’s store. The crash involved the 18-wheeler and at least one other vehicle.
A medical helicopter was called to the scene. At least one person had serious injuries, but it is not known if and how many others were transported.
The crash closed the highway’s westbound lanes and slowed the eastbound lanes for several hours.
