BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS MASTER FACILITIES PLAN

A workshop is set for Tuesday afternoon for the Burton School Board.

The meeting will cover the master facilities plan for the district.  Earlier this year the board placed a larger focus on facility needs and upgraded.

Superintendent Dr. Edna Kennedy stated in December that the district is “way behind on facilities.”

The meeting is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the district’s Administration Office at 701 North Railroad Street in Burton.

  1. Burton ISD has always struggled with long term planning needs. So many of us knew that the population in the area was on the raise. We knew building of the elementary school would be “too small” in a matter of years. We were correct.
It is busting out of the seams.
The projection of continued growth is a no brainer.
Please study your plans, Burton ISD and don’t underestimate growth.
