Josh Blaschke
Why Are You the Way That You Are?
Making His Own Path
Josh Blaschke comes from the small town of Hallettsville, TX, which is also known as the “City of Hospitality”. He completed his basics at Blinn College in Schulenburg before attending Sam Houston State in Huntsville to study Multi-Platform Journalism.
He learned about radio while at Sam Houston and worked for radio shows before moving to Brenham (which was close to both his family in Hallettsville and Sam Houston) to work at KWHI as the News Director. It surprised him how busy this job keeps him. It’s a small community, but a lot happens.
Fun Fact: Josh originally wanted to be a priest! He went to seminary for a short time before realizing it wasn’t for him and decided to do something with mass communications and sports.
When he’s not gathering the news, he spends time with his wife Gabbi, watching sports, and playing video games (his favorite of which is Fallout: New Vegas).
