EMMA MARTH NAMED WASHINGTON CO. FAIR QUEEN
The queen of the 153rd Washington County Fair was crowned Wednesday night.
Emma Marth was crowned Fair Queen after selling 2,608 tickets for $104,325. She is representing Washington County 4-H and is the daughter of Brandon and Kristie Marth.
The record for individual ticket sales was set in 2018 by Hanna Warmke, who sold 4,288 tickets for $128,640.
Named Fair Queen Runner-Up was Keely Mikolajchak, who sold 1,935 tickets for $77,385. She is representing Washington County 4-H and is the daughter of Kelvin and Crystal Mikolajchak.
Trinity Hart was the recipient of the Judges' Choice Award. She is representing Brenham FFA and is the daughter of John and Janie Hart.
Altogether, the four queen candidates sold 5,173 tickets for $206,910. The combined ticket sales record of $221,436 was set in 2018.
Also crowned Wednesday night were the winners of the Little and Junior Mister and Miss contests. This year's Little Miss is Kinsley Porche, daughter of Chris and Nicole Porche, while the Little Mister is Ayden Clay, son of Josh and Cindy Clay. Junior Miss is Stevie Donnell, daughter of Walter and Karly Donnell, and the two Junior Misters are Brazos Supak, son of Matt and Bobbi Supak, and Teagan Thompson, son of David and Kim Thompson.
Official opening ceremonies were held Wednesday night, with entertainment from the Crossroads Band. Activities continue throughout the week, wrapping up Saturday night with performances from Rick Trevino and Clay Walker.
