A Magnolia man faces multiple charges after trying to evade authorities Tuesday.
Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak reports that on Tuesday, Deputies responded to the 15000 block of FM 1155 East, in reference to a welfare concern. Deputies arrived at the location and attempted to speak with the individual of concern, who was inside an RV.  He then exited the RV and fled on a nearby motorcycle.  Deputies pursued the motorcycle for several miles at speeds reaching 90 miles per hour. The suspect drove to the 17000 block of Running Ridge Road with Deputies behind and exited the motorcycle, causing damage, and fled through a barn and toward a nearby creek.  Deputies gave chase on foot and located the suspect in the creek.  Sheriff Hanak stated the individual was arrested and identified as 35 year old Magnolia, Texas resident James Bryant Daigle Sr.  Daigle and was charged with Failure to Identify, Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, as well as being a Fugitive from Justice in Saline County, Kansas related to a Fleeing Police charge.  Deputies also located a loaded Kimber .45 caliber pistol near the abandoned motorcycle.  His bonds are set at $28,000 related to charges filed by Washington County authorities and will remain in custody awaiting extradition to Kansas. The investigation is continuing with additional charges possible.
