BAYLOR SCOTT AND WHITE HEALTH ANNOUNCES NEW SCHOLARSHIPS

Baylor Scott and White Health is announcing a new initiative helps Baylor Scott & White employees who are veterans further their healthcare careers. The Dick Brooks Servicemen & Servicewomen Continuing Education Fund launched this year to offer scholarships beginning in spring 2022. Named for E. Richard “Dick” Brooks, who served for 30 years on the Baylor Scott & White Board of Trustees, the fund will empower veterans employed at Baylor Scott & White to further their education.
The fund will provide scholarships for tuition, fees and educational supplies such as books and equipment. Baylor Scott & White employees with current or past participation in any of the six branches of the U.S. military can apply for funds to supplement their GI Bill or Hazelwood Program benefits.
Veterans who are employees of Baylor Scott & White are applying this fall for scholarships that will begin in the spring. Baylor Scott & White has provided the initial funding for the program, and the public is invited to make tax-deductible contributions by visiting BSWHealth.com/supportveterans.
