3 KILLED IN SCHOOL BUS CRASH IN BIG SPRING
Three people are dead and over a dozen others are injured after a crash involving a school bus Friday afternoon in West Texas.
DPS says a Ford F-350 was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around 5 p.m. in Big Spring, 40 minutes east of Midland, when the truck collided with an Andrews ISD bus.
The crash killed the driver of the truck and two of three adults on the bus, which, according to Andrews ISD, was carrying members of the high school’s marching band en route to a playoff football game.
DPS says two students were airlifted from the scene and are in critical but stable condition. The third adult and 11 students were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
It is unknown at this time why the truck was driving the wrong way.
