BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO HEAR PRESENTATIONS ON BOND ITEMS

  

The Burton School Board will meet tonight (Wednesday) to further discuss plans for the 2021 bond project.

Ryan Lione of Powell Law Group, Antonio Naylor of Reliance Architecture and Joe Carlock of DSA Construction Management will give presentations to the board.

After discussion, trustees will consider selecting an architect, construction delivery method and construction manager-agent.  They will also look to adopt a prevailing wage rate and give the superintendent authority to work with the district’s legal counsel on the board’s behalf to negotiate and execute the necessary construction contracts related to the project.

Last week, the board held off on proceeding further with the project, instead opting to schedule today’s meeting to make sure all trustees are in understanding on how they wish to move forward.

The board will meet at 5 p.m. at the Burton High School Auditorium.
