THREE BLUEBONNET BOARD MEMBERS UNOPPOSED FOR RE-ELECTION

Three incumbents on the Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative Board of Directors are unopposed and, in accordance with co-op bylaws, will be elected by general consent.

The directors up for election this year were board chair Ben Flencher, District 5 – Burleson County; Milton Shaw, District 1 – Caldwell, Guadalupe, Gonzales and Hays counties; and Debbi Goertz, District 3 – Bastrop County.

Bluebonnet’s service area is divided into seven districts, each represented by one to three directors, who are elected by co-op members to serve three-year rotating terms.

The cooperative’s annual meeting will be held Tuesday, May 10th at The Silos on 77, located at 1031 County Road 223 in Giddings.  No in-person voting will take place at the meeting; voting will be by proxy only.

There are currently no ballot items to be voted on this year, but items can be added to the annual meeting agenda that would require a vote by members.

To vote by proxy, members can complete proxy forms and return them by mail or to one of Bluebonnet’s five member service centers.  Forms can be obtained at a service center or by calling 800-842-7708 and asking for a form to be mailed.  Forms must be returned or postmarked by May 3rd.
