EARLY VOTING CONTINUES AT FAST PACE
Early voting for the constitutional amendment election and Brenham ISD bond election saw its largest single-day turnout so far on Thursday.
Elections Administrator Carol Jackson said the constitutional amendment election drew 437 voters, while 419 people voted in the school bond election.
That compares to Wednesday when 400 people voted in the amendment election and 383 voters took part in the bond election.
Through Thursday, there have been 1,481 voters in the amendment election and 1,417 voters in the bond election.
The Washington County Courthouse Annex continues to host early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with three days remaining: today (Friday), Monday and Tuesday. There is no weekend early voting.
Election Day is May 7th.
