SIX PEOPLE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Six people plead guilty and were sentenced by Judge Carson Campbell this week in District Court.
Eliazar Torres Garcia, 34 of Brenham, was sentenced to 6 years in prison for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle. He was also convicted of two charges of Possession of Controlled Substance and was given time served in the Washington County Jail on those charges.
Jennifer Renee Taylor, 38 of Pflugerville, had her probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 6 years in prison for a 2020 Possession Controlled Substance arrest. She was also ordered to pay a $1500 fine.
Olive Kaday Sheriff, 23 of Houston, had her probation adjudicated and sentenced to 5 years in prison for a 2018 arrest for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon. She was also ordered to pay a $1500 fine.
Marcus Shae McCrory, 38 of Bellville, was sentenced to 42 months in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance enhanced to Habitual.
Jeremy Thompson, 31 of Sealy, was sentenced to 12 months in state jail for Theft of Property less than $2500, with 2 or More Previous Convictions. He was also ordered to pay $49 in restitution.
Terry Dale Stegmann, Jr., 22 of Brenham, was sentenced to 2 years deferred adjudication for Indecent Assault. He was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, perform 100 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim in this case.
