JUNIOR MAIFEST ROYALTY CROWNED AT CORONATION
The 132nd Brenham Maifest Junior Royalty was celebrated this (Friday) evening at Fireman’s Park in Brenham.
Junior Queen Talyn Sulik and Junior King Evan Dippel reigned over the court of “Lights! Camera! Action!” at the Junior Coronation. The ceremony took guests on a trip to the movies, with dances and performances themed around movie theatre concessions and iconic films.
The Senior Coronation will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 7 p.m., where Senior Queen Moli Ragonis and Senior King Blake Cutter Jones will reign over the court of “And the Award Goes to…Maifest 2022.”
Tomorrow’s Maifest activities get underway with the Maifest parade through downtown Brenham at 10:30 a.m. KWHI will broadcast the parade live beginning at 10 a.m., and will also livestream the parade on Facebook, sponsored by Mr. Gatti’s. Following the parade, the Maifestival grounds will open for dance performances, beer tasting, a home brew competition and live music from The Oompahs and The Seven Dutchman Orchestra. The Common Ground Band will perform after the Senior Coronation.
The Mighty Thomas Carnival will be open for one final day tomorrow from 11 a.m. to midnight.
Admission to the festival is free. Coronation tickets are only being sold online at www.brenhammaifest.com.
