The Brenham Board of Adjustment has given the go-ahead for a special exception request to allow renovations at the planned location of a classic car dealership.

The board voted unanimously on Monday in favor of Tony Ramirez’ request to allow a 10-foot front yard setback and 5.7-foot rear yard setback, where a minimum of 25 feet in the front and 10 feet in the back are usually required, at 301 South Market Street.

Ramirez plans to move his business, Top Floor Cars, from its current location at 2404 South Chappell Hill Street to the site on South Market Street, which formerly belonged to the Top Shop automotive repair business.  He seeks to add two more car bays to the main structure, which currently has four service bays.
