POP-UP PLAY DAY BEING HELD THIS SATURDAY IN BRENHAM
The City of Brenham and the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County are inviting the public to Pop-Up Play Day this Saturday.
Pop-Up Play Day is part of the Kids to Parks Day celebration. Kids to Park Day is a national day of outdoor play that is held on the third Saturday in May.
The day is intended to connect kids and their families with their local, state, and national parks, and public lands.
This year’s Pop-Up Play Day will take place at two different locations. The first session will be at Jackson Street Park from 9:30-11:30am. Kids will learn about Pickleball, how to make and fly a kite, basketball, snow cones, lawn games, and more.
Then, Pop-Up Play Day moves over to the Blue Bell Aquatic Center beginning at noon. The Aquatic Center’s staff will have a water safety demonstration from noon to 12:30pm.
Afterwards, there is going to be a free swim in the Outdoor Leisure Pool from 12:30pm-2pm. In order to take part in the free swim, kids will have to first attend the water safety demonstration.
