INDEPENDENCE TO HOST 15TH ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
The town of Independence will let freedom ring at its 15th Annual Fourth of July Celebration on Monday.
The day’s activities in downtown Independence start at 2 p.m. with a trail ride, leading into the parade at 5 p.m.
Jordan Kaminski of Independence Community Events, the organization putting on the celebration, says the parade is open to all ages and is a great time for everyone.
Prizes will be awarded in adult and youth categories for the parade.
Afterwards, the Risky Liver Band will perform for a street dance beginning around 6 p.m. A fireworks display will round out the day at 9 p.m.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase, and there will be a bake sale.
