LADY PANTHERS BEAT SNOOK TO CLINCH DISTRICT TITLE

The Burton Lady Panther Softball Team defeated the Snook Lady Blue Jays 4-1 last (Wednesday) night to clinch the District 26-2A Championship.

Burton got on the board first in the bottom of the second inning. Bailey Glaesmann drew a leadoff walk, and moved to third base on a double by Aerynn Huntsman. Glaesmann would then score a short time later on a wild pitch to make it 1-0 Lady Panthers.

In the third inning, Burton put three runs on the board. Reagan Roemer led it off with a single, and came around to score on a double by Paige Fritsch. Glaesmann singled home Fritsch. Two batters later, Allie Biggs hit an RBI triple to score Glaesmann and make it 4-0 Lady Panthers.

Snook did get one run in the top of the 4th, which cut the lead to 4-1.

Glaesmann got the win going seven innings, allowing only one run, on six hits, and striking out 12.
