We saw it happen, did he survive??
I’ve lived off Wonder Hill for over 30 years. You are taking your life in your own hands trying to get on/off 290 at Wonder Hill these days. Something has to be done
A dangerous area because some folks leaving Brenham, headed east, accelerate far beyond 70 mph on the downhill slope of 290 by Woodward Creek. This presents a danger to people at the mobile home park at the uphill side and those elderly trying to cross into 290 from Wonder Hill.
It is a very dangerous situation. I’ve had to wait for a very long time to feel safe enough to cross. I don’t know the best solution. But it’s the responsibility of the Stste Highway Department, “Government “, so don’t get your hopes up for any reasonable/timely solution. I take Spring Creek Road to 36…adds a little time but much safer.
