Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller.

Miller joined Ben Bius, whom Miller has endorsed in the three-way Republican primary race for Texas House District 12, for a meet-and-greet at the old Brenham Opera House building at 101 West Alamo Street in downtown.

Miller said he is looking to bring more “true” conservatives into the House and asserted that Bius fits that bill.

Miller believes Bius’ business experience and principles will serve him well when taking on any of the issues facing the House.

Bius said he is grateful for Miller’s endorsement and stated he has also received endorsements from Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and Attorney General Ken Paxton.

The visit on Saturday was part of Bius’ “Let’s Take Back Texas Tour” across the district, which included other stops in Huntsville, Navasota and College Station.

Bius is facing Trey Wharton and John Harvey Slocum in the March 5th primary.  Early voting continues through Friday.
