CARMINE RESIDENTS ASKED TO PARTICIPATE IN WATER LINE SURVEY

The City of Carmine is offering a $5 credit to water customers on their next bill in exchange for completing a survey about their water service lines.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requires the City of Carmine to inventory the types of materials of all customer water service lines in the city’s distribution system.  The inventory minimizes the risk of lead entering drinking water from service pipes and fixtures in residents’ homes.

Customers are asked to indicate on the survey if their property is residential or commercial, what their service line is made of, and when the service line and water meter were installed.

Copies of the survey can be obtained at Carmine City Hall and online at www.cityofcarmine.com

Completed surveys must be returned to the city no later than May 31st
