AUSTIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS INVESTIGATING A MAN’S DEATH

  

The Austin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man near the Cat Spring community.

During the early morning hours on Monday, Sheriff’s Deputies and Austin County EMS personnel were dispatched to the scene located on the 15000 Block of FM 1094 for a report of a 20-year-old male that was unconscious and not breathing.

Upon arriving at the scene, Deputies found the subject and he was receiving CPR from a relative. Deputies took over CPR, but it was quickly ended when it was determined that the subject was already deceased.

According to Investigators, it appears the man had been crushed or run over by some type of vehicle.

The Austin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the community is not in danger, nor is there a cause for concern about further violence in the area.
