NATIONAL NIGHT OUT CELEBRATIONS SET FOR TUESDAY

First responders and community members will gather tonight (Tuesday) to celebrate National Night Out.

Block parties will be taking place around the region from 6 to 8:30 p.m., providing an opportunity for residents to meet their local law enforcement and public safety officials.  This year’s theme is “Oktoberfest”, so everyone is invited to wear their lederhosen and bring out their favorite German foods.

Some of the organized gatherings happening in the area include at the Blinn-Brenham Campus Lot W, Calvary Baptist Church, Salem Lutheran Church, the Oliver Whitener – Roy Winkler Pavilion in Burton, the Chappell Hill Visitors Center and Chamber Office, and at the Prairie Hill, Latium, Meyersville, Berlin and Rocky Creek Volunteer Fire Departments.

KWHI and KTEX-106 will travel to parties throughout the evening.  If you would like us to stop by, call our office at 979-836-3655.
