BURLESON COUNTY FAIR 2024 RECAP

  

The 2024 Burleson County Fair is in the books, and it was another big year.

According to the Burleson County Tribune, the Fair finished with an estimated  sales total of over $2.3 million, which is the second highest in fair history.

The previous record was in 2023 with over $2.5 million. This year was also the fifth time in the Fair’s history that they surpassed over $2 million in sales.

The Youth Livestock Auction brought in $1,146,121, which was down from the $1,382,900 in 2023.

Madalyn Faust exhibited the grand champion market steer, which sold for $32,000. She is the daughter of Branden and Kristine Faust, and represented the Deanville 4-H.

Katheryne Hill was the reserve champion market steer, which sold for $22,500. She is the daughter of Josh and Elizabeth Hill, and also represented the Deanville 4-H.

The Commercial Heifer Sale brought in $1,113,900, which was down from last year’s $1,120,750.

They also raised $52,250 in the baked foods sale, which was up from $47,300 in 2023.
