BURLESON CO. HOME DESTROYED IN FIRE

  

A home in Burleson County was destroyed in a fire Sunday night.

The Snook Volunteer Fire Department responded around 10:30 p.m. to assist the Beaver Creek Volunteer Fire Department with a one-acre grass fire that had reached a double-wide mobile home and later fully engulfed it. 

The fire was in the area of Beaver Landing and Beaver Creek Drive, located between Lyons and Snook.

Firefighters were on scene for several hours extinguishing the grass fire and containing the structure fire.  The Somerville Volunteer Fire Department also assisted. 

The cause of the grass fire that led to the structure fire is under investigation.

The American Red Cross has been contacted for the family affected.
