FORMER DISTRICT CLERK TAMMY BRAUNER PASSES AWAY
A long-time Washington County Official has passed away.
Former District Clerk Tammy Brauner died this past Friday after a battle with cancer at the age of 62.
Brauner served in the Washington County District Clerk’s Office for nearly 30 years. Her career began in June 1996 as a deputy clerk.
Brauner was then chosen as interim district clerk, a position she held from April-December 2012. She then became the full-time District Clerk in January of 2013.
Brauner’s most recent term began in January 2023, but she had to resign in May of this year due to what were said to be “personal reasons” at the time.
Brauner is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dwayne, son, Ryan, daughter, Rachel, mother, Carolyn Kubeczka, sister and brother- in-law, Vicky and Michael Muegge, and numerous other extended family members.
Visitation will be held today (Monday) until 7pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with the family present from 4-6pm.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Memorials may be given to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery Fund, or to the charity of your choice.
