CUBS STAY UNBEATEN IN DISTRICT WITH 65-33 WIN OVER RUDDER
The Brenham Cub Basketball Team remained unbeaten in district play with a dominating 65-33 win over Bryan Rudder last (Tuesday) night at the Brenham High School Gym.
Brenham jumped out to an early lead 13-5 after the first quarter, and never looked back. The key to the game was the second quarter, where the Cubs outscored the Rangers 22-2.
The game was closer in the second half, but Brenham also won the third quarter 16-14 and the fourth quarter 14-12.
Elijah Ferguson, Chris Guidry, and Jayden Hebert led Brenham with 12 points each. Roderick Martin added 10 points as well.
Ferguson was honored prior to the game for reaching 1,000 points in his high school career.
Next up, the Cubs (18-7, 4-0) will be traveling to Lake Creek on Friday for a 6:30pm game.
