BRENHAM ISD TO CELEBRATE DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI HONOREES FRIDAY
Brenham ISD will recognize four esteemed graduates tomorrow (Friday) at its 151st Anniversary Celebration.
The ticketed event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Blinn College Student Center Banquet Room.
The individuals that will be inducted into the ranks of Distinguished Alumni are:
- Bonnie Brinkmeyer (Brenham High School Class of 1975), retired Brenham ISD teacher and administrator, community volunteer, and current Brenham ISD trustee.
- Mack Williams (Pickard High School Class of 1967), the first male nurse in Washington County, musician, and member of the Washington County Historical Juneteenth Association.
- James Emerson Dennis Jr. (Pickard High School Class of 1953, posthumous), professor, U.S. Air Force veteran, deacon at Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, and Freedom Rider for African American civil rights.
- Dr. William “Bill” Seeker (Brenham High School Class of 1956, posthumous), U.S. Army veteran and president for 28 years at the College of the Florida Keys.
The luncheon serves as one of Brenham ISD’s signature celebrations, paying tribute to the district’s history that dates back to 1875 while honoring graduates whose lives, careers and service exemplify the district’s values and traditions.
