BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO SET NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT FOR SITE, FIELD RESTORATION PROJECT

  

The Burton School Board will hold a special meeting on Wednesday to take further steps with a site and field restoration project.

Trustees will act on approving a not-to-exceed amount for the long-term safety upgrades and maintenance improvements planned at the baseball and softball fields.  As part of the action, they will authorize the superintendent to execute agreements and expenditures.

The board moved at its meeting last week to select Collier Construction as the construction manager at risk (CMAR) and PlanNorth Architectural Company as the project architect and engineer.  Trustee Dean Fuchs noted at the time that law requires the selection of an architect/engineer, but this project does not involve building, so the district will not need one.

Following the motion, the board will go into executive session to discuss pending litigation. 

The board will meet Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Burton ISD Cafeteria.
