WASHINGTON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS ARRESTS FOR WARRANTS, MARIJUANA POSSESSION
Three people were arrested on Wednesday after two separate traffic stops in Washington County.
Approaching 2:15 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Sergeant Corey Himebaugh stopped a vehicle that did not have a front license plate in the 300 block of Highway 290 West.
The driver, 35-year-old Armando Olmos Jr. of Houston, was found to have active arrest warrants in Harris County. The sheriff’s office also reports he had a small amount of marijuana in his possession.
The passenger, identified as 27-year-old Ulises Fararoni of Pasadena, was also discovered to have an active Harris County warrant.
Both men were taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. Olmos was charged with No Driver’s License and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, along with the Harris County warrants for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More and Theft of Property $750 - $2,500. Fararoni was booked in on the Harris County warrant for Assault of a Family/Household Member with Previous Conviction.
Just before 4:15 p.m., Corporal Rosa Salinas made a stop in the 1700 block of Highway 105 for expired registration and an illegal license plate cover.
The driver of the vehicle, 38-year-old Calvin Lewis Jr. of Brenham, was found to have an active warrant in Washington County. Corporal Salinas also detected a strong odor of marijuana, which was located during a search of the vehicle.
Lewis was transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Possession of Marijuana and the warrant for Driving While License Invalid.
