TWO JUVENILES ARRESTED IN SHOOTING INCIDENT; THIRD SUSPECT BEING SOUGHT

Two juvenile suspects were arrested in Fayette County and the search continues for a third suspect in connection with an incident where shots were fired.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Monday night, they  received a 9-1-1 call about shots being fired in the area of Anders-Daniels Road and Citzler Road.

Deputies responded and met with witnesses who advised of a vehicle believed to be involved.

Deputy Wesley Arrison located a vehicle in the area and observed the occupants to be behaving suspiciously. Arrison attempted to make contact with the vehicle, but it sped away.

A brief pursuit ensued before the occupants of the vehicle exited and fled on foot.

Deputies secured the vehicle, which contained multiple firearms, and began a search for the subjects.

After a search of the area, two of the subjects were apprehended. A third subject was not located on scene but has been identified.

According to Sheriff Korenek, the parties involved were found to be juveniles, as such their identifying information is protected and they cannot legally disclose their identities. The two subjects that were taken into custody have been sent to a juvenile detention facility.

A further investigation into the incident is ongoing at this time.
